Need a break from that 5-inch thick report that you have to submit tomorrow? Or do you simply want to amuse yourself while waiting for the Bundy clock to strike five? Worry not, folks. Office life as we know it is over because Guitar Hero III is here to rock our cubicles. Yes, pun intended. Guitar Hero, the famous and award-winning music video game published for the PlayStation 2 video console, will soon no longer be limited to PS gaming. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will crawl its way to our PCs and Macs, Aspyr Media confirmed.
According to Macworld, Aspyr further announced that the Mac and PC versions of Guitar Hero would be launched within a few weeks after the Wii, Play Station 2 and 3, and Xbox 360 version is released.
Fans were promised the same rock-your-world experience as in the other versions, as well as some brand-spanking-new content. Guitar Hero II will showcase more than 70 songs and several new modes such as multiplayer battle mode, boss battles, unlockable content and online multi-player mode. And as if that wasn’t enough to excite guitar wannabes out there, authentic rock venues and original recording of the artist is packaged with the new Guitar Hero as well. And what is a rock star without his guitar? For this a USB enabled Gibson guitar-lookalike is thrown into the package.
Office workers need not to fret, though. Guitar Hero III could also be configured to play using your dear old keyboard. To Aspyr Media from us rock star wannabes, we await with bated breath.
